Charles Millar

Charles Millar is an employment lawyer with Levitt LLP. In his practice, Charles provides strategic advice and representation to both employees and employers on a wide range of workplace issues, including employment, labour, human rights, litigation and dispute resolution matters.

A driven, practical and collaborative advocate, Charles brings significant experience in employment law to his work on behalf of clients. His passion for employment law began during his undergraduate studies, when he spent summers working for a human resources and recruitment firm. He has since built a legal practice focused on advising and representing clients in a broad range of employment disputes before the Superior Court, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and labour tribunals.
Before his career in law, Charles worked as a research psychologist, where he led a team studying the intrinsic elements that guide people’s decision-making, resulting in several publications and a feature in The Atlantic.
Charles earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He also holds a Master of Applied Psychology from the University of Waterloo and an Honours Bachelor of Science with High Distinction from the University of Toronto.
In his free time, Charles enjoys squash, pickleball, reading, kayaking and spending time with family and friends.
