Employment and Labour & Litigation Lawyer, 3-7 years

LSCS LAW seeks an Associate lawyer to join our employment and labour law team. You will be given the opportunity to develop your own practice while learning from and assisting Partners in complex employment litigation and providing advice to national and international clients on regarding employment and labour related matters.

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years employment & labour litigation experience (more junior lawyers need not apply);
  • Experience bringing and arguing motions;
  • Court appearance, mediation and examination experience;
  • Superior communication and client service skills;
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities;
  • Ability to work under short deadlines in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to excel in a highly productive legal environment.


LSCS Law intends to hire 1-2 Articling students for the 2022/2023 term under the Law Society of Ontario’s Articling Recruitment Procedures for Toronto employers.

Articling at LSCS offers a unique experience for the future employment and labour lawyer. Our boutique firm practices in all areas of employee and employer-side employment law, including human rights, as well as management-side labour law. The successful candidate will be involved in research, drafting (pleadings, affidavit of documents, termination letters, legal memoranda), and will have many opportunities to attend mediations, motions, examinations for discovery, and other court and tribunal proceedings with senior counsel. LSCS provides a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the opportunity for an entrepreneurial student to grow into an excellent lawyer.

LSCS’s hiring process will be conducted in accordance with the LSO’s Toronto Articling Recruitment Procedures.
