Annie Yu

Annie is an Associate at Levitt LLP. She obtained her Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from the University of British Columbia and her Juris Doctor from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Before joining Levitt LLP, Annie articled at an insurance defence firm, where she gained extensive experience in civil litigation. During law school, Annie was involved with TMU’s inaugural legal clinic, helping clients understand their rights and advocating on their behalf before the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Social Benefits Tribunal. She also developed strong research and writing skills through her work as a legal research assistant for several professors. Her academic contributions include co-authoring a published report in refugee law and co-editing a published volume of a law journal. Additionally, Annie was awarded the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Canada Prize and competed in the Harold G. Fox Canadian Intellectual Property Moot.

Outside the office, Annie serves as an Assistant Editor of the Transnational Human Rights Review and sits on the board of directors of her condominium corporation. In her spare time, she enjoys running, cooking, and crocheting.
