About Jessica Donen:
Jessica Donen is an articling student at Levitt LLP. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Queen’s University and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Manitoba.
During her time at Queen’s, she volunteered with the Queen’s law legal aid and pro-bono student association. She also served as the Vice President of her class in 2016 and acted as the President of the Jewish Law Students Association in 2015. She also received the M. A. Murray Award from Queen’s University in 2016, which is presented to both a man and woman in 3rd year law who contributed the most to athletic life during their three years at law school.
In 2014, Jessica worked for the Worker’s Compensation Board of Manitoba as a summer student case manager representative and became increasingly interested in the dynamic relationship between employers and employees. Jessica also worked for B’nai Brith Canada League for Human Rights, which is an organization that assists in the development and implementation of human rights initiatives.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys canoeing, camping, and backpacking, as well as playing a wide array of sports such as soccer, basketball and ultimate Frisbee. She is a certified scuba diver.
Jessica is passionate about advocating for employee rights and ensuring that employees are able to work in safe and comfortable workplace environments. She hopes to advance her skills as a litigator and become a strong advocate for employees facing unsuitable working conditions, discrimination, and human rights violations in the workplace.
